Might be a slightly strange question...

but does anybody know where to find some really good quality maracas?

I've been watching various percussionists over the years using maracas to great effect (particularly Venezuelan musicians) but so far haven't found any that even compare to the pairs they use.

Lp do a pair made with skin, they also do a small version which I use taped to a hotrod, they are lovely though not cheap
