Posted - 15/03/2012 : 18:45:07 I've currently got a pair of 13" Zildjian Quick Beats and a pair of AA Fusion hats. They are both great hats if not somewhat similar but I fancy a change. When I bought them I was playing more dance orientated stuff. I probably fancy something a bit thinner and a bit of an all rounder. Not a brand snob but don't fancy any Kruts!! I await all your suggestions and ideas |

Posted - 19/03/2012 : 00:05:45 Sorted for a bit. Put the Quick beats on Ebay last night and a local guy contacted me and offered me a good price. Turns out he was selling some prestine 14" A customs. Did a deal and swapped both of us are happy with our new hihats and neither of us will have to pay ebays extortionate 10% fees The bugger is that I've just seen that the drum studio where a mate of mine teaches has got some 15" soundedge 2002s for sale |

Posted - 15/03/2012 : 22:43:15 I'm not sure I can bring myself to buy myself any. I had a original black label pair of 15" 602's. I got £30 for them chopping them in!!!!!! I woz robbed . 15" Hats were not in fashion at the time and all I wanted was a pair of 13 K/Z. |

Yeah I know. That's what I was getting at The fusion hats are in my opinion Sabians version of quick beats. A heavy vented bottom with a medium heavy top. The Sabians came as part of a kit I've just bought. |

I can't recomend them highly enough, I would certainly put them on your list of test drives, I would also go along with Scooby and give the sultans a go they are very cool hats.
I have a pair of Boshphorus 12" dark turks which are very dry and sexy but I was thinking of getting shot of them as I just automatically pick up the Mel Lewis, Istanbul cymbals are very hard to get out of your system once your hooked |

Posted - 15/03/2012 : 21:19:19 I bought a set of Istanbul Sultan hats last year and they've become my first choice for mostly everything, very verstile indeed. |

Posted - 15/03/2012 : 19:47:51 I keep going back to my Agop Mel Lewis hats, they seem to work for almost anything, they are light and a little dark with a really nice washy quality, I've tried loads since I bought them but they are the dogs, love em. |
