Posted - 27/04/2012 : 22:12:31 they closed it for a year recently, Torrington pool ,to remove the old asbestos roof and refurb the pool area. Come the big day after all the speeches, bells and whistles, after an hour all sorts of buzzers and alarms went off, nobody in that time had thoght about the plant that runs the pool, apparently it was 'gummed up' with all the dust and crap fron the refurb So was promptly closed for another week to er sort out the plant problems.
Now though it is rather spendide, and it does have a 3 m deep end ,so shock horror you can DIVE IN!,without an risk assessment green card,an NVQ,or even a permit. Its proper old school, gradely
