A venue inquired recently about my band playing there. We were told that they were set up for live music and had a decent PA.

Upon asking the usual questions about the number of inputs etc., it became clear that what they were calling a PA was in fact a jukebox.

Good god! What sort of live music venue doesn't know what a PA is!!??
Equally bizarre, When I was at music college the intake was a bit "sparse" shall we say. A fellow student who's first instrument was keyboards didn't know what a chord was! I quit soon after that day!
