Playing Ipswich Music Day at the weekend...

Sound guys spent 20mins micing and soundchecking the kit then realised it was more than loud enough on its own without the mics.

Played the china that way for about 20 years up until about a year ago, used more as a ride so suits 20-22" chinas.
Have a look at Billy Cobham or Simon Phillips.
