I dont think that has anything to do with the website Wayne but the way people use forums now, we have had this discussion on hear before that the biggest competition now to any forum is not other forums but facebook!

There will still and always be a forum on mikedolbear.com but mikedolbear.com has been more then just a forum but an online drumming resource which needs to be updated and keep up with modern times, there is a big financial investment going into the new site and will be the landing page for anything drum related from interviews, reviews, videos, podcasts, fan zone etc etc plus this forum.

Bring on the next 17 years

We should see how many of the lapsed members we can get back for the final night of the 'old' forum.

Hi Mike,

I was hoping to run into you and say hi at NAMM but that didn't come to pass. Looking forward to the new site!

Best,

Barry

But I've only just worked out how much I can abuse each of you! I'll have start again with mild sarcasm with all the newbies!

Looks good Mike

Will the current forum accounts remain or will we all be starting from 1 again? More importantly, will we be waving goodbye to these
mike dolbear Posted - 18/01/2017 : 21:17:41
Guys and girls the forum is not going to change much dont worry after 17 years of me making it up as i go along its time to not only move forward as the mainsite is out dated but move it to the next legacy so it can continue for another 17 years .

I was one of the first to do this and now everyone is doing it and so i need to kick it up a step or two
Brody Posted - 18/01/2017 : 20:42:36
Yep, looking forward to it but will miss the old place. Hopefully will kick start new interest and members which I guess was part of the idea.

April 1st?

It will be interesting to see how the new site pans out.

Booma Posted - 18/01/2017 : 15:33:21
yep, might take a little while to get used to new site but important to change things up every so often and I'm thinking that Mike has been doing this for a while now so feel confident we can trust him. Bring it on!
sticksman1 Posted - 18/01/2017 : 15:26:18
Excited and sad at the same time... this place has been a bedrock for me for all things drummy.

But, look forward to the pastures of new... well done!
Soporif Posted - 18/01/2017 : 14:17:34
But......but.....I don't like change.

And will we have to meet new people?

And will I have to change my clothes?
Captain Bubble Posted - 18/01/2017 : 14:08:27
I knew this was on its way and looking forward to it, well done and thanks to all involved!
