Ok,

So years ago I bought a drum off ebay and wanted to "do it up". It's a nice shell and a premier I beleive? But I took the wrap off to sand and stain and found glue holding the wrap on. Is there any way I can remove this glue? Or is it best to re wrap it?

I should go through the restoration parts in rythm actually, but I can't remember if they dealt with this problem? Thanks for any help! I'll be glad if I can continue with this project

Electric sander. Spray on a dust coat of spray paint first and keep sanding till the dust coat of paint is gone then repeat until your happy. I had this problem and used 80grit then 140 then 400. The dust coats help you to judge that you are keeping the sanding even. Id personally shy away from pouring white spirit on the shell.

White sprit won't harm a shell. However, it won't remove glue either.
