I need a strainer for my Dixon Brass 14" x 4" shell. I bought a Gibraltar strainer for it but the mounting is too small.
The two mounting holes on the drum are aligned vertically and the distance between the centre of each hole is 20mm (roughly 7/8ths of an inch).
If anyone can tell me where's the best place to find one or knows of a specific model to look for, I'd be most grateful.

Is this one any good to you? http://tinyurl.com/6szhejm The listing says the holes are 20mm apart. Whether that's from the centres isn't quite clear, but if you ring Mr Ellis at Baskey he'll soon tell you. |

| Can you post how you got on. I have a Dixon steel 14 x 4, and bodged the snare to 'Always On' when I bent the strainer mechanism, and would really like to sort it out. |

Seemingly World Max are making spares for everyone so ask your local dealer if they can check them out.
A mate needed a Peral strainer which they had discontinued, he got one from World Max. |

| Found this thread via Google. It said all I wanted to hear, so contacted Baskey via e-mail, TWICE! No reply!! Totally puzzled, after all the positive feedback in this thread. I explained fully what I was looking for and said the item illustrated in their 'vintage' section looked to be the ideal candidate, could they confirm measurements. Nothing. Might anybody have any other suggestions, please? I'm looking for replacement for my Remo piccolo strainer. The screw holes are approx a half inch (13mm?) apart. Thanks, guys. |
