| I can confirm Carrera make these chunky hoops and they are bloody lush! I got a set for my 13" snare a few months ago now and they are built to last! Dave is a top bloke too! |

| Link to the price list? I want some wooden hoops for a 16" tom to bass conversion. I was going to get 16" bass drum hoops but these would certainly look interesting and make a nice alternative. |

Go for it if you have 250 notes to spare but the feedback we have had so far on these hoops has been outstanding:
These hoops are amazing!!! finished off with some 1200 grit then waxed and polished. Thank you loads
What they look like is nothing compared to the sound of the snare. It was nice before, but now it sings!!
Still offer improved tonal quality @ a price that won't break the bank. 250 quid is a bit steep, you could buy a new snare for that money! |

Normally, I'm not a fan of wooden hoops at all, I think they look too clumsy and ugly, but those Lignum ones look great. |

I remember wandering over after speaking to you at the NDF and watching him making one. If I've ever seen a labour of love it was then.

I doubt I'd be able to find a Brady or Dunnett though...

| I bought a pair of 42 ply 14 x 10 hole snare hoops from Tom. I fitted them to my 9000 wood snare which already sounded good and they changed the whole feel and sound of the drum. Get one of your snare hoops, hold it on your little finger (cast or flanged) and clang it with a stick. Now imagine your snare without that fundamental clang. Sure, for some occasions that ringy sound is right, but the sound I have now is absolutely stunning. I've not been playing as long as some on here, but in 40 years of bashing out my music I have never had a better snare sound. I am about to order a full set my my whole 8000 series kit, I'm that impressed with them. |
