I have an aged (mid 80's probably) Premier hi hat stand I am particularly fond of. It owes me nothing, if I'm honest but I want to keep hold of it.

The shelf has broken, the upright that the bottom cymbal sits on snapped off and in the process of removing it I snapped another part.

I measured the outer diameter of the upright at 22mm and ordered a Gibraltar replacement that "fits most up to 22mm" but it is too small.

I have bought some measuring callipers and they say the upright is 22.5mm but despite all efforts searching the web I can't find a suitable replacement.

Does anyone know where I can source a replacement?

Plan b is to buy a new upright the correct diameter if I can't get the right one.

Thanks all!

Rockem does a hi-hat seat that can go either outside or inside the tube. An inexpensive experiment if you can't source one otherwise.

Sadly having checked my spares box there isn't one, I still gig my old 250 stand as it's lightweight and works, but that part is quite fragile!

I have no time to practice, I'm gigging. Leicester Drum Sniffers Anonymous. #17 of the 582 & 17 0f the 798 World Record Holders.

If you have nearby a well used rehearsal room or studio go and see if they have any scrap bits in a dark corner.
All sorts of old throw-aways lurk in them places.

If you ever shop in Liverpool look up Vulcan studios located, logically, in Vulcan street on the "Dock Rd" (local parlance or Regent Road as it is properly named on maps).

Sitting on top of the mountain isn't the most interesting bit of the climb. Sitting at the bottom aint much fun either.

Make sure to take your wheels, & battery with you and don't park up after dark!!

Many thanks all, the Rockem one is too big as the internal diameter of the tube is 18.44mm

I'll buy a new upright, I think.
