Firstly, huge thanks to the Facebook drum group who helped get this kit to me (namely graham russell and kev). Got it safe and sound. Now then, here's a wierd thing. The floor tom has a tom block on it. The liner looks like its never been out, so what's the crack?? Is this a common feature, so the drummer could both mount it, and use it traditionally??

For a cymbal or cowbell perhaps? I've seen it done before.

I think for mounting on one of those volker rack/riser system thingy's,they were factory order only.

most of these kits didn't have room for a cowbell post, so why not use a floor tom/leg block to hold a post for the cowbell on the floor tom. I've seen several like this over the years
