The legendary Buffin of Mott The Hoople is selling his Roland TD3 kit which he used to practice on for the 5 sold out reunion Hammersmith shows in 2009.
This is possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity!

They rehearsed at Rockfield before the gigs - I went to the Indian Restaurant in Monmouth which they frequented and they had signed the visitors book - the proprietor was well chuffed.

Bog standard TD3. I wonder what the reserve is? If it's not close to the current bid of 315 pounds it might not sell at all.

I would imagine the seller posted this link given that it is their first post on the forum </cynic>

Mid life crisis kicked in, drum kit bought. It's not quite like cycling though, you forget. A lot!

When my old Goth band recorded a session for the Janice long show on Radio 1 Dale Griffin was due to produce it, but there was a last minute change so I did not meet and work with him as hoped. Still the other fellow was very good anyway.

It's best forgotten, but it was called The Veil, not to be confused with several bands called that nowadays

Thanks for the comments. I posted the link up as a favour to Jean, Buffins partner who is/ was selling the kit. Buffin is not well and his playing days sadly are gone. I think it's a case of being thankful we are healthy enough to be able to play. I never knew what become of his old gear. Probably put into storage or just given away.
