A while ago I mentioned I had bought a new Natal Kit. I never got around to posting any pics but I was recording yesterday and took a few snaps for anyone interested.

Specs -
Natal US Maple US Fusion 20 Kit
20" kick
10" tom (not pictured), 12", 16"
Natal 14" Aluminium Snare

Zildjian K Light 14" Hats
K Light 24" Ride
K Custom Hybrid 19" Crash
Istanbul 20" Traditional Crash
Evans Heads
Other boring stuff

If you're interested in a new kit, all I can say is that I am so impressed by the sound, quality and look of the kit. The finish on it is flawless, the drums sound really warm and punchy (especially the kick) and the little attention to detail like the red grease and nylon washers on the tuning bolts are great. I'm not an endorser or anything, just really chuffed.

Thanks, I'll stick them up as soon as they are mixed. Should be about a week or so

Actually, here's a link to one of the UNMIXED tracks. Un-mixed, so I've got an excuse if you all think it's crap.

My 'instant the next day after winning the lottery while I wait for a Highwood to be ready for me' kit is a Natal in my local drum shop and now I want it even more!! I'd better buy a ticket next week.

The kick and snare kick serious bottom (especially the kick - what exact heads and damping do you have?)

Also really like the song - my kinda thing

Gretsch Black Widow mini-mod and a selection of Paiste 2002s
Playing some loud Britpop!!

Stunning.

Question: why have your room mics got baffles on top?

No idea. I'm not an audio engineer, maybe to stop reflections from the ceiling bouncing onto the mics??
