I picked up a cheap kit off ebay which the sellers had, in their wisdom, sprayed snot green paint all over (both kit and hardware) as a deterrent to being stolen from a rehearsal room where it was in use as a shared kit.
I envisioned having to painstakingly scrape all the paint off and the use of many eye watering solvents. Not so. Quick google search suggested the use of nothing more than Fairy power spray (the kind you use to remove the nuked bits of casserole that attach themselves to pyrex dishes at a molecular level).
I was skeptical but by jove it works. Squirt it on, leave it 20 mins, wipe it off and paint comes with it. Top tip! |
