Depends if you want to exploit their bright and powerful sound, or tame them down to more more like an average wood drum sound. Clear single ply for one, double for t'other, Emperors perhaps?

I use clear emps over clear ambs. I tried pinstripes and they just killed it. I've used coated before and they sound nice too. The clear emperors worked best IMO.

I've got Aquarian Response 2's (clr) over Aquarian Classic Clears on my Visatlite (RCI shells). Have an SK1 on Bass Drum. I think it sounds great and as Capt. Bubble sys, the two ply heads do calm it down a bit.

Could always try CS Dots a la Bonzo?

Play 'em like you hate 'em!!!!

The new Evans Power Center clear/white-dot tom heads would get my vote.

Personal pref? Evans Clear G2 over Clear G1 on the reso. I've never used a clear resonant head on the kick before so don't really know. I might go with an EMAD on the kick, though...

My drum teacher had a kit like this. He used Remo heads wtih a silver dot in them. I think they were single ply. "Power centre" or something like that. It was 20 years ago, I dont rightly know anymore!

Tama (well, a badge on the bass), Zildjian, Grandad-made tambourine, Premier HD heads (8 years old now, and still going strong). Could do with lessons! http://s872.photobucket.com/albums/ab285/AnthonyOConnell/My%20Drum%20Kit/

OK, so i put G1 over G1 on the 8", G2 over G1 on the 10" and 12" and Response 2 over G1 on the 14"FT. A PS3 will go on bass with a clear reso.

Toms sound nice.

Snare has an EC1 reverse power dot (semi-clear).
