A bit trendy for my usual taste but I've heard this song in a few ads and well, it's catchy and I actually really like it.

Who's John Newman I wondered, some obscure '70s black soul brother who this 'Rudimental' lot had sampled? Then I saw his other other video...

Bloody hell, he's a 21 year old white kid from the Yorkshire Dales! I do like the voice, there's some real '60s/'70s Stax about it IMO, and it'll probably get even better as he matures a bit. I wonder if he'll be the next big thing like Amy Winehouse with the whole modern but retro thing?

Wow and double wow! The lines between 'black' and 'white' music don't exist any more. What a very interesting singer, pushing the boundaries and changing our view of musical genres.

I'm 99% sure I know his older brother who is also a soul singer, played on the bill with him a couple of times in Newcastle. Great voice like, harder than his brothers which is quite soft.

Yeah he's very good, and that 'Feel the love' is going to be a bloody big tune (if it isn't already, I don't know). Love the dancing to it on this vid also... again not something I'd normally be into but I've never seen anything like it

He's a friend of mine, really funny guy. So happy that he's doing well for himself, he moved to London to try and make it and it looks to be going well so far!
