This looks a hard Marathon by the look of the route. The people that have done marathons say its easyer to just do 26 miles with out doing the same route twice but mike as to run a loop
The race starts at the Halstead Leisure Centre, Colne Road, Halstead. From there participants run out towards a ten and a half mile loop, after which runners follow most of the same loop again before heading back to wards the finish line back at the Halstead Leisure Centre. Please wish him luck and thanks to everyone for the support with TCT

Thanks Kev
Not sure if it's a hard marathon as it's the only one I can compare it to, a few runners last year told me it was a tough because of the hills involved in fact one girl asked me last year "is this your first marathon"? I said yes and she said "ouch this is a really tough one" thanks for that just before I start!
I think am better prepared then last year but I have to admit I am not looking forward to it as I know this year what to expect from around 15 miles on it's really does hurt and its easy to dehydrate, I am not built for long distance running.
This year I also have a running partner that will be doing it with me (hopefully) to talk me through the tough periods as you cant have a iplayer or radio on for health and safety! I just hope my running partner doesn't pull up half way round.
I am not very fast last year it took 5 hours 10 (i think) and i dont really care how long it takes as long as i get round without any major issues. |

Mate you are helping kids that you will never meet and i know how you feel about TCT and what they do. Funds are hard to come by and its a great amount of money that will be going there way because of your run.
