After a long wait for the football to finish at the venue, I got to play my recent acquisition of a Premier Artist Birch.

The sizes are 20x14, 12x8 and 14x14, but it doesn't half punch above its weight for a 'jazz kit'. I'm particularly fond of the bass drum which has more power than I thought possible from it's relatively small size. The silver sparkle wrap looked gorgeous under the stage lights too.

It was also the first gig for my 2002 14" heavy hi-hats. They're incredibly versatile and worked equally well for slow ballads and rocky numbers.

My new Gibraltar flat base hardware worked flawlessly and really made a difference to load in/out. My back was noticeably relieved. It's quality stuff and no mistake.

Was this the setup in that "Crash Cymbal Placement” thread?

If so it looks amazing very much my kind of kit. In fact I use the same sizes in a Premier Elite Genx .

To me they seem to be the most versatile sizes especially the kick.

Your new kit does look very nice Chris, and you are right about the Gibraltar hardware, it makes a real difference.

Cool Prog, and I'm convinced, have to get me some of that hardware. Played a gig last night (after watching the Blues thoroughly deserved victory!), and my hardware bag was a right pain as there were stairs at the venue. Enough is enough, methinks.
