I'm looking for an unusual vintage looking snare strainer for my next build project. I want something which will look unusual and old but will accommodate modern style snare wires. There is a Ludwig P-87 on ebay at the moment but it looks like it is designed for non-standard snare wires, any other suggestions?

page three of the reno thread 6th post by me!!
strainer side two holes vertical, 3" centered apart
butt, triangular, bottom two, 2& 1/8" apart then from
either one its 1&1/2" to the top center,.

Hi Paul, You might have to make a bracket that uses the existing holes and fitted to accommodate an older snare switch
