Just been piecing together a few short clips of some recording I did in a friends place before it sadly closed, nothing fancy, just a 1/4" tape machine and two old calrec condensers...

Quite like the end result though.... Drums hot to tape is a winner...

Revox? Haven't seen one for years.
Iron Castanet is my favourite, very nice. Some nice ideas and playing, but I would like to hear a change for the underlying 4/4 straight 8ths beat, put a swing/shuffle triplet or 6/8 or 12/8 groove with some of those ideas and you'd be swinging like hell!

Thanks all, much appreciated!

I've had the Revox for a while, can't beat drums to tape for me! (despite the inevitable amount of tomfoolery that comes with it)

Not a bad idea with the triplety thing... Was just trying to get into a bit of a groove with the original one to be honest -but love this for exactly that - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhzDVlkCsxM

Thanks for watching and commenting! :)
