Did you watch in normal or 3D ?
Often the 3D aspect is a distractive marketing ploy to help cover up the duffness of a film.....then again 3D is also duffness in itself anyway... IMHO !
Not seen it yet and will probably wait till I get my hands on a blueray |

I saw it today, and I thought it was pretty splendid to be honest. If the script was 'clunky' it didn't detract, and it is absolutely gorgeous to look at. There was a slight sense of disappointment in the sense that the big unanswered questions that the movie is based around never really get answered, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Then again, the last thing I saw was Dark Shadows. After that, anything would have seemed like a masterpiece. |

Shall be going in the next day or so. Can't wait.
Word of warning; no matter how tempting the trailer seems, DO NOT go and see Snow White & The Huntsman. Unless, of course, you like sleeping in cinemas. Dull, dull, dee dull-dull. |

Went to see Prometheus this afternoon. Enjoyed. I did start to drift at a couple of points - during the 'action' sections, curiously - but generally enjoyed it. As part of the 'Alien' legacy it's going to have to fight to hold its own, but as a gutsy, moralistic sci-fi romp it was decent.
I don't need to see anything in 3D. I did feel like Prometheus in 3D would feel like a completely different movie; much more 'cinema' rather than a Ridley Scott sci-fi-drama. |

3D is indeed very subtle, although it was the first I'd seen.
I think if you bear in mind that Scott was quoted as saying it's not a prequel to Alien, and if he does a sequel then it will be heading in a different direction to the Alien quadrology, the film itself is pretty good.
Since Prometheus me and the missus have watched the quadrology. Aliens is clearly the best one. Resurrection is a bit daft but fairly awesome. |
