Hi all. May I suggest that we have a specific topic heading called "Stolen Gear" where members are able to list their stolen items with serial numbers, photos etc in addition to making postings the general discussion forum? This may help.

I think it's a nice idea however this area receives the most traffic so would be the best place in my opinion so at least a link from that 'directory' sort of thread to the general section would be a must!

Human sacrafice usually get his attention. On a serious note; great idea. When I saw the title of this thread I did think 'oh god not another one'.

While we are on the topic of potentially adding features to the forum, I'd like to make a couple of suggestions.

On another forum I frequent there is a feature where by you can see all the latest threads in chronological order (regardless of category) which is a nice feature, as you can keep up-to-date without trawling all the individual sub-categories, which may or may not have new posts. Also, this may be a feature on here already, (but I haven't seen it yet) what about a subscribe to thread option, so you're notified when a thread you are following is updated. And lastly, it would be nice to be able to add an avatar or profile picture, to our profile to be displayed. This isn't because I think I'm beautiful and I want everyone to see me, it just adds an element of personalisation and a human element to the forum.....

Oh and one more.... occasionally (being relatively new around here) I have wondered about the background of the person replying to a thread, as in whether they are a hobby drummer or a semi-pro or pro, and I think it would be a nice feature if users we given the option to volunteer this information in their profile? I know I would have certainly read and interpreted certain posts in a different manner if I knew I was getting views of a pro or a hobbyist. And that's not to favour one over or the other, it just gives more perspective to comments.

I will look into the issues you have brought up and get a costing to see if
A: its possible
B: it cost effective

There are a few categories but users still use this category to post most things, a good example is this post is not in the "website issues" so sometimes topics get lost because there not in there categories.
