Nice to see some youth coming through. I think we need to start building a team for the next 10 years now and hope that's what he's doing.

It's all gone remarkably quiet here at work at 5 to 5....

Well, we didn't play too bad IMO, lacked quality up front but we seemed to be solid and passed the ball well at times.

Quietly impressed if I'm honest. not exciting but functional and a good base to work from.I'd like to see them do well for the sake of the 'older' guys who won't see another tournament, Gerrard in particular. And that's coming from a Jock!

Radio 5 called me this morning as they wanted me to go onto the Nicky Campbell phone in after I sent a text message to them.
I declined as I didn't want to end up ranting live on air

In a nutshell I said "we" did ok but Ashley Young is a lazy twunt who was partly to blame for the France equalizer.
IMO there's no place in the team for players like him who aren't prepared to roll their sleeves up and put a foot in. He was too busy standing next to their centre halves instead of coming short for the ball and laying it off.

I'm not sure which out of Gerrard or Parker are in part of blame for the France goal, as one of them should of been much further forward and protecting the back four, rather than being just as deep.

There's definitely one thing I'd like to see repeated for the next match:
