This is a documentary about the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, was just on Sky Arts. Watch out for it, it's absolutely fascinating.

Apparently all the old tapes of their work were thrown away, however after a search they where found-saved purely because nobody ordered the skip!

Have not seen the programme, but followed the progress when the Science Museum restored Daphne Oram's instruments, fascinating stuff indeed.

A fabulous programme, I recall seeing it many, many years ago on BBC3, utterley fascinating. A great example of musical creativity and pushing the boundaries of available recording technology instead of downloading 'talent' to a PC. Loved the pre-Sgt Pepper linking of 4-tracks by having the PLAY/REC/STOP buttons from several machines all together on one block of wood. I also recall the programme was made by the fabulous Victor Lewis-Smith under the 'Redifussion' banner?
