dont know about your cymbals but don't think my dreams and 505's would appreciate the battering that guy would give them

No buff half naked drummers would play my kit. Just no! It's wrong and grubby.

My point entirely. Don't ever agree to a kit share including breakables.

Just watched the vid again. Very enjoyable. I wouldn't say he's "battering" the cymbals exactly. Maybe they could do with a slight angle adjustment. However most decent cymbals can take a battering if you select the appropriate type of cymbal for the style of music that you play.

I do it regularly. They break it, they pay for it, either in skin, blood, genitalia and teeth, or in cash.

He could play equally as hard with a lot less effort if he worked on his technique more. Play from the wrist dear boy.

I'm cool with kit shares.
I just make the terms and conditions abundantly clear from the off.
