| You don't mention whether or not "we" is all there is, if it is, i don't see where you will make a living at it, drums n bass are great for jammin together but taking it on the road as a pro' project isn't a good idea imho, if you have a decent job i would stick with it, especially in these present clime's, there's brilliant muso's out there that are struggling for good gigs,, |

In concurrence with that which has been said with my learned colleagues here; don't give up the day job. Solid enough standard drum'n'bass grooves but it didn't do anything to light my fire I'm afraid.
It's not really the sort of thing that anyone (unless you're JoJo Mayer!) is really going to make any money from. I'd enjoy the time jamming with the band, work on your vocabulary and stylist approach, make a few tracks and get them up on Bandcamp. You stand a fair chance of making a couple of quid pocket money that way. And remember; it's not just the drums that make drum'n'bass. The other elements in the band really have to be right.
Have you heard of these guys? http://soundcloud.com/china-shop-bull I saw them supporting Voodoo Glow Skulls a year or so back; they were tight. Drum'n'bass grooves and vibes played with a 'traditional' rock band-style set up. |

Did you just mean drumming for a living? Not necissarily just drum n bass?

IMO, don't trust strangers to decide your life..
If you want to play drums professionally you can.. but you need a plan.. hardly any are lucky enough to just play drums for a living.. I teach, do sessions, play for function and wedding bands and run a house band at a venue jam night...
I have (and still do) study new stuff every day..
I also had the bonus of working in IT before going pro so websites etc were no problems.and I always had the luxury of falling back on a trade... I am well out of date now thou :)
To be honest.. if you want to make money from drum and bass play congas etc in night clubs.. there is always work and u get all the money..
