We have 3 greyhounds. All are retired ex racers who will try to chase anything that's furry and moving. We have to keep them muzzled out in public...just in case. Buggered if I'm running after them!!

Ludwig, Rogers, HipGig. Too many snare drums. Lots of K's. Endorsee for Protection Racket, KickPort and De La Cruz Custom Drumkeys.

Next to Greyhounds, my Boxer/Staffy was the fastest dog I'd ever seen. After I got him from Battersea, I found out they are crossed by Gypsies for catching rabbits and are rarely found outside the Gypsy community and change hands for a fair bit of money. Boxers are fast enough, but can't react quickly enough to the rabbit zig zagging and are thrown off easily, so the Staffordshire brings a little intelligence and agility to the party. We rarely went out and he didnt catch a rabbit, but thankfully didn't kill them, just lay there with the rabbit under his front paws. It was then up to me to kill the rabbit, which I would never do. I called, he jumped up and the rabbit ran away and lived to be chased another day.
Sadly he went to the big kennel in the sky on Christmas day after 14 years together.
He was a great dog.

I was seriously considering a retired Greyhound, but I'm away from home so much these days its not feasible. One day I will though. I love Greyhounds.

Greyhounds make great pets, they don't need a lot of excersise, but we do have to watch this one with anything small & furry.

Our previous one never made it as a racer and would curl up with our cat, we lost the cat a few years back but Ellie goes berzerk if she catches a glimpse of one.

We got her through the Retired Greyhound Trust.

I do voluntary work for a lady who has advanced primary progressive MS and relies on a motorised wheelchair. She has a rescue Greyhound and it amazes me how little exercise he needs....and how wasted he is after a brief sprint around the park. He's literally out of it for the rest of the day. Lovely temperament too.

All proceeds from my next trio album/DVD will be going to the Retired Greyhound Trust. Such great work...I've seen what happens to the ones who aren't rescued.
And yes...they wrecked after a jaunt. Mine sleep 20 hours a day!!
