hi, im currently keeping an eye on a mapex mars pro 4pc shell kit no snare or no hardware at all, however the price is a tad high and im thinking of making an offer, i dont want to offend the owner but im thinking around 80 pounds just wanted some opinions dont want to rip anyone off, but i was thinking even if it had the snare and cymbals it probably wouldnt get to 200 and the seller wants 130 as is, thanks in advance

Make the offer, What have you got to lose. "Hi, I'd like that kit, but I've only got 80.00 quid that I can spare. I know it's worth more than that, but... If you want me to take it off your hands you can have the money, tonight, in cash.2

See what he/she says.

£130 sounds like a good deal to me. Maybe I'm out of touch.

£130 sounds about right. They dont hold their price, but they are not bad drums. My son had one and I was quite impressed any time I played it. I like the tube lugs.
Why not split the difference and offer him a ton?

My first new kit was a Mars pro back in around 97, great kits, built like tanks but great sounding, lacquer finish as well IIRC.
If I'm looking at the right auction he has it starting at £130 with no BIN so my guess is he maybe wants a touch more for it.
Definitely worth a cheeky email though.
Btw there's another in Oxford isn't there, have a pop at that if it isn't too far to collect.

I'd say no at £80, I'd tempt him by offering the ton, three figures always feels better.
