| Is the M series better than the VX ? I,m thinking of a second kit and one of these has caught my eye. |

| The M series was the preceeder to the present Meridian series. Normally they were called the M birch series they were manufactured from birch wood. They were a midrange kit and higher up from the VX series. Previous to the that there was a Mapex Mars kit which again was a level above the VX series kit. |

As it's used, is it an M-birch, M-maple or a Pro-M?
Pro-M were effectively mid level kits but with the same basic maple shell as the Orion. (Without the flash veneers and better quality onboard hardware.) M-birch & M-maple use a shell, shall I say, very close to Sonor's Force series. (The shells are all made at the same Tianjinn plant, but on 'seperate' production lines)

| The only issue for me with the M/Meridian Birch is the lug count on the floor toms. |

It's just listed as M series I'm afraid.
