I have just been sent some pics of a last generation Resonator kit, in black lacquer, non power sizes. It's lovely, 24" 10" 12". Thing is, it sports the modern prem ISO mounts, and has no tom blocks, the toms aren't drilled. Did this occur for the resonators in the mid 90's, or do you think these were perhaps a special order??

Curator of all things Mahogany duroplastic and Black shadow tinged.

IIRC you could order them without tom blocks as a special order - RIMS were all the range at the time.

Wouldnt that be resonance overkill? Surely the whole idea of the Reso's was much the same idea as Rims mounts?
Seem to remember seeing Rod Morgenstein with Rims on his Resonators but no one else.

I guess so - but let's not let science get in the way of good marketing - for a while the drumming world went Resonance crazy - and there was no such thing as too much...
