| Flaming cumbersome thing that it is, I need a case for it before I wreck its covering. What does anyone here use? Thanks. |

I took mine off every time. One day I just stopped putting it back on. |

Protection Racket do a throne case that takes a Roc n Soc and backrest. Usual protection racket quality, I've had mine for about 4 years and still perfect. It's a back pack style case so easy to carry and extra pockets to carry all the other things we drummers need! Not cheap but then neither is the Roc n Soc!

Could you buy a lightweight stool and put the Rock 'n' Soc one one that? It might reduce the overall weight by a bit... |

| Not a bad idea that...tried the RnS with a cheapo base but the tube diameter is wrong - will try some others though. |

I've got the equivalent Yamaha beast -
I bought a second hand Protection Racket bag - cost me £20.
I can fit my stool, backrest, mike, stick bag and towel in there.
These look pretty good for the price....if a little...er....'bright'

| Nice but would add to the weight problem. Good piece of kit though :) |
