should i change my forum name to Nick Hopkin, or do you all know who i am??? As i'm now running a shop, and doing a lot of buying and selling, i don't want any confusion if that makes sense?

The retail sector works on a gross profit of 50%. Decent ones also charge VAT. That means if you see one selling a used drum for £100 (and they want to remain in business for more than 5 minutes), they paid some poor person £40 for it.

Unless you have a shop with overheads and legal obligations, your stuff is worth 40%.

unless he paid the 'poor person' the £40 for a wreck, then put in a good few hours of hard graft and new heads/metalwork/wrap, where applicable, to bring it up the standard of those on his site. then its worth far more than the 40%.
