Shanaze had a lousy start but blamed the number of races!!
In normal meetings you ride at least four in quick succession, but apparently she doesn't compete in normal races, if so, how did she qualify?
As for Liam, a great start but lost a pedal and couldn't get back, then got a nudge to take him out.
At least they both reached the finals, the best I did was 8th in the British Champs, my lad was sixth in his class!! but he was Midlands champion |

| I was very surprised that when interviewed, Shanaze said she hadn't seen any of the other girls race and didn't know what times they had achieved. All the hard work and training, and that last little piece of preparation was missed. Surely somebody could have told her the race would be bl00dy fast! |
