It seems like rumours might be true that he has died. A truly excellent, imaginative, creative and virtuosic guitarist and a favourite of mine since I first heard him on the powerful "Believe It" album by Tony Williams' Lifetime.
I was very saddened to hear of the death of Allan. As RT says, a genius. I only got to see Allan playing live three times, over a period of about 30 years. Once with Chad Wakermann on tubs and twice with Gary Husband. These were three of the most amazing gigs I've ever been to. He has left us with the most fantastic musical legacy.
