Bill Sanders BS715 Practice Kit

Over the last few years ‘since the arrival of the electronic kit, the practice kit has almost had to take a back seat. But one practice kit manufacturer has always been in the front running through thick and thin always looking for ways to make his kit better then the rest.

Bill Sanders has been making practice kits and various other practices products since 1972 and the new 715 is his latest addition.

The five piece kit consist of a 10” snare pad 10”11”12” tom pads and a 5” bass drum pad all made of a thick black rubber with a chrome rim. The pads are fitted on a sturdy aluminium framework which is fully adjustable to get the kit set just how you need it. The pads give enough volume for you to hear but without disturbing anyone else, although the bass might vibrate through floorboards if you leave in an upstairs flat, but placing a piece of carpet under the pedal cuts down on the vibration.

You can also get Bill Sanders cymbal rings if you want to use your cymbals with the kit. Overall this is a good practice kit with good response and volume level that packs down small even fits into a suit case if you are on tour, if you can practice anywhere and at anytime that’s got to be a valuable tool. You can buy cheaper practice kits but then you get what you pay for. Also they’re made in the UK.
